Khan v Alvarez
This should be interesting, Khan stepping up 2 weight divisions to take on one of the current best pound for pound fighters.

Not sure how this will turn out but guaranteed to be a tear up

I don't like either but unless amir's wearing a crash helmet, I can see him being stopped

Re: Khan v Alvarez
That's a big step up in weight against a very good boxer. I can see Khan being slower with the extra pounds and if he struggles to take a dig against smaller men he'll be obliterated tonight.

Re: Khan v Alvarez
Surely it's over as soon as he gets hit flush, as in the Danny Garcia fight?

Suppose that may not happen but in 12 rounds....I find it odd Khan took this fight to be honest.

the funniest thing I saw on boxing news facebook page was khan's people talking about golovkin fighting the winner. imaging golovkin connecting with khan's glass jaw? :.)

What time is this on and who is on the undercard?

Great little short film on Khan on iplayer. Seems humbe and has learned from his earlier mistakes in and out the ring.

No better offensive boxer about and has tightened up his defence massively. He's not as exciting as he used to be, but Virgil Hunter has transformed him

Khan to win.

Would love Khan to win then two Khans will have pissed off all the Bigots in GB but it is going to be very tough Alvarez has the knock out punch and can box too.

Takashi

If your not a bigot your not a bigot, I am not aiming anything at you It is just obvious to me that Khan is a Pakistani Muslim and I know very well that that is enough for many to dislike him.
A boxing fan usually does not look at colour but religion these days is something different .

I also agree that you do not have to be a bigot or racist not to like someone.

Re: Khan v Alvarez
khan is obviously a very talented boxer who's proved himself against some top boxers. the one thing for me that will always let him down is his ability to take a punch. i'll be happy if he wins tonight but for me, him moving up weights and fighting heavier hitters will only make him even more at risk to knock outs, obviously that's where the better purses are so he has to take the fights if they're on offer

I don't think Khan is the amazing boxer some make out. Hes always been caught easy he's whole career. No doubt he has the speed. He just about got through a 140 pounder last time in Algeri. Canelo is too much of a step up.

He could have a problem tonight.

I'm outraged Khan can't just take his post without having to fight for it.

This would never have happened if Goldsmith had won.

Re: Khan v Alvarez
He hasn't got a glass chin. He's just been terrible defensively in the past and has got caught with some perfect punches - and always because he's been in such control of the fight that he's switched off. Against Garcia he wasn't knocked out cold, but he was clueless as to how to cover up and recover.

I think he's got it in him to win tonight.

Admittedly, I'm often wrong.

Re: Khan v Alvarez
He was totally gone against Garcia

KingandPaynter 7:21 Sat May 7
Re: Khan v Alvarez
Alvarez is relentless going forward, non-stop barrage of punches.

Unless Khan forces him to defend its a one sided fight

Baggins 9:33 Sat May 7
Re: Khan v Alvarez
Peroni son!

It's very rare I disagree with you but Khan is very chinny. If he could take a punch at elite level he would have had a far more successful career. He's obviously world class...but his glass chin has held him back.
